How to get to Nancy
200 miles East of Paris, Nancy is easily accesible by train. When arriving by air in Paris, the easiest way  is to take the train at "Gare de l'Est" and it takes about 1.30 hours.

Visiting students can be met on request at the train station by a member of a INPL student organisation provided prior arrangements have been made. Please fax or e-mail in good time your arrival date and train arrival time.

Please try to arrive during daytime/working hours (8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.), keeping in mind that you have to check in university residence halls before 8.00 p.m.

Bus network

A comprehensive bus network covers all destinations. A bus guide and timetable for each route are available from the Agence Bus.

Valid transport is by means of a credit card called the Pass. It is on sale at the Agence Bus, in tobacconists, shopping centres,  automatic distributors.

The Pass should be validated on the bus. A ten-trip pass costs 8.20€ There is also a student Pass that guarantees unlimited trips in 31 days for only 27 €.

How to get to the various INPL campuses from the railway station (stop “Place de la République"):

  • To the Brabois-Vandoeuvre campus: take tram T1 Direction « Vandoeuvre-Brabois », get off at stop "Forêt de Haye ».
  • To EEIGM, ENSGSI and EAN: take Tram T1, Direction « Essey », get off at stop "La Mothe".
  • To ENSMN: take Tram T1, Direction Vandoeuvre-Brabois, bus, get off at stop "Jean-Jaurès".
  • To ENSIC: take the 134 bus from the stop "Point central", get off at stop "Citadelle".
