Foreign students who want to carry out
studies in Spain with a lenght of more than 90 days, must apply for the
corresponding student visa at the
Diplomatic or Consular Offices before their arrival.
Need for student visa:
All the students, without an European community nationality
or residence permit, need a student visa.
Once in Spain:
During the 90 specified days in which they are legally in
Spain, foreign students must apply for an authorization to stay (residence
permit).
In the case of UPC students, the application process begins at the International
Mobility Office (Building A4, ground level).
What are the requirements to obtain a
Residence permit?
The following requirements must be
complied with:
All documents for entry and stay in
Spain must be in order, including the visa to undertake or extend studies.
The student has been regularly
accepted in an educational or scientific centre to undertake/extend studies.
The study plan imply attending for no
less than 3 months, including the approved studies, research or educational
itinerary.
Students must prove and guarantee
that they have the financial means to live, support their studies, their stay
and return to their country, as well as, if necessary, that of their
relatives.
The student residence permit is
granted for one year and is renewable.
