Students participating in the mobility
programmes, regardless of their origin, should inform the corresponding
campus
International Mobility Office of their arrival, which provide various
services:
- Registering as a foreign student
- Providing useful material for students to orientate themselves in the city
- Processing the UPC card
- Information on Catalan courses
- Processing the student card and the Alien Identification Number (NIE), if
applicable
- Information on the UPC international Social Activities Service (UNIVERS)
Arriving by plane
The Barcelona airport is situated 12 Km from the city. There are several ways to
get from the airport to the centre of Barcelona.

TRAIN. Trains leave from
the airport every 30 minutes, from 6:13 a.m. to 23:15 p.m. It costs 2.10e and
getting to the centre of Barcelona (Sants or Plaza Catalunya stations) takes
20 minutes.

BUS. The Aerobús leaves
from the airport every 15 minutes, from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight Monday to
Friday, and from 6:30 a.m. to 12:00 midnight on Saturdays, Sundays and
holidays. It costs 3.16e and the terminus is Plaça Catalunya, in the centre of
Barcelona.

TAXI. The black and yellow
Barcelona taxis can also be found at the airport. They cannot carry more than
four passengers. When a taxi is free, a green light will be alight and a LIBRE
or LLIURE sign will be visible. A taxi to the Sants station will cost around
16e or 19e to any other location in the city.
Arriving by train or coach
Barcelona has two international train stations:
Sants and França. Various coach companies have their arrival points in different
parts of the city.
